Pride

I was mopping the kitchen floor last week (a kitchen floor that I hate) and the word PRIDE appeared in my head. I can’t seem to get it out, so I am going to blog about it.

Definition of Pride according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
1: the quality or state of being proud: as
a : inordinate self-esteem : conceit
b : a reasonable or justifiable self-respect
c : delight or elation arising from some act, possession, or relationship
2: proud or disdainful behavior or treatment : disdain
3a : ostentatious display
b : highest pitch : prime
4: a source of pride : the best in a group or class
5: a company of lions
6: a showy or impressive group <a pride of dancers

I think I'm speaking about the self-esteem. It doesn't matter what you have, how nice it is (or isn't). We all need to be proud of ourselves and our belongings. We work hard for what we have and we need to hold that close. Don't let things fall apart around you, keep your head up, keep working and the self-esteem/self-respect will be there.

About Ranch Revival

I am a mother of 2 boys who loves living in the country. The Pawnee Buttes Ranch Blog is about country life and the way we live it. My husband and I bought the ranch May 26, 2010. We raise alpacas, boer meat goats, and chickens. We may throw cattle into the mix down the road. This is a journal of rebuilding, repair and the adventures of our family. Enjoy!
